Since 2004 the WEAC planted over 2200 trees and shrubs planted that will sequester over 2.2 million pounds of Co2 with a value of over $39,000 and will intercept over 1.1 million gallons of rainfall with an avoided storm water cost of approximately $82,000 over 25 years. These trees and shrubs were planted in parks, open spaces and storm water detention basins.
